Our Fees

Preparation and service of the formal letter of claim and & advise. ·         Less than £5,000 – £250.00 plus VAT

 

·         More than £5,000 but less than £50,000 –         £350.00  plus VAT

 

·         More than £50,000 – £500.00 plus VAT

 
Preparation issue and service of the County Court claim form ·         Less than £5,000 – £250.00 plus VAT

 

·         More than £5,000 but less than £50,000 – £350.00 plus VAT

 

·         More than £50,000 – £500.00 plus VAT

 
To enter Default Judgment and to communicate this to you. ·         Irrespective of the size of the debt there will be a fixed fee of £100 + VAT

Disbursements;

On issuing County Court Proceedings, there is a Court fee that has to be paid.  The Court fee ranges from £35 to £10,000 dependant on the size of the debt.  Examples below;

  • between £1,000 and £1,500 the Court fee is £80
  • between £1,500 and £3,000 the Court fee is £115
  • between £3,000 and £5,000 the Court fee is £205
  • between £5,000 and £10,000 the Court Fee is £455.
  • between £10,000 and £200,000 the Court fee then moves up to 5% of the claim and over £200,000 the Court fee is £10,000.

You will need to factor this into your decision.  Please understand that this is a Court fee that we pay to the Court Service and as soon as the Proceedings are issued it cannot be recovered from the Court.  It is however added to the debt payable.

Timescales

Matters typically take between 2 – 10 weeks from receipt of instructions to receipt of the debt. If the Matter is defended it can take longer at which point we will advise further.
